Ms. Elisabeth Desruisseaux recently completed her Master of Music in piano performance at Royal Holloway, University of London, studying with Nelly Ben-Or. During her Bachelor of Music, she studied with Marilyn Engle and Charles Foreman at the University of Calgary. Elisabeth has also participated in the collaborative music program Académie Musicale Internationale “Barbara Krakauer” in France. Since her undergraduate degree, she has collaborated with a variety of instrumentalists and vocalists, has directed and accompanied choirs, and has studied as an Artist in Residence at the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts.
Along with her performance experience, Elisabeth has also taught piano for many years. She has worked with beginner and advanced students of all ages and has completed a piano pedagogy certificate course through the European Piano Teachers’ Association. Elisabeth has also received her Associate Diploma in Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and is experienced in teaching the Royal Conservatory curriculum. In her lessons, she aims to foster a true enjoyment of music in every student, and incorporates many creative elements in her teaching of fundamental musical skills.
