Young Musicians Recital Information

Harmony Young Musicians Recital Information – June 2018

Parents, grandparents, friends and family are all welcome to come to the recital to see our musicians perform on stage. The Preschool and Young Musicians class will perform without their parents on stage. Please stay for the duration of the entire recital, we will have performances from both classes. Details of the ECE recital are as follows:

Who: Harmony Young Musicians Students
What: Spring Recital/Celebration
When: Saturday, June 9th at 9:45am (please sign-up online starting May 1st, sign-up instructions will be emailed to you in our monthly newsletter)
Where: The Village (former Rocky Mountain College), 4039 Brentwood Road NW, in the Chapel
Why: To celebrate the music the children have been learning so far this year!
How: Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early for the recital as performances will happen first. Performances will not be held up for any late arrival. There is ample parking in the lot directly outside the front door of the school. Upon arrival, please check in with the administrative staff (at the desk) as you enter the facility. They will mark your child’s name off so we know you have arrived. Once you have signed in, wait for the previous Recital to finish then make your way into the Chapel. You are welcome to sit wherever there is an available seat. There is no food allowed at the Recital or in the Chapel.

If your child would like to attend the student instrument recitals, you are more than welcome to attend them as they are being held on the same weekend as the ECE recital and at the same venue. The student recitals are a formal event so audience members (including ECE students) are expected to follow proper recital etiquette. See the link for the “Recital Information for Instrument Lessons” on our website for details on recital etiquette. This also lists the times of the student recitals.

Parents will be asked to remain in their seats throughout the Recital and not block the aisles for the duration of the performances.  Designated photo areas will be provided for parents.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me or speak with your classroom teacher.

Regards,
Ms. Jenny Chai
